Journalistic reporting is an important part of the curriculum, and a great way to merge ICT, from writing the report on a computer, to importing digital photos and more. To help pupils focus immediately on the learning objectives of writing in the style of a newspaper, I created a template for the pupils to use, and start typing straight away. I think we all know how a pupil can waste an entire lesson fussing over the best curliest font for their text!
There’s room for extension of course, a photo / image could be added, extra pages, colours and fonts changed with careful consideration.
